I have moved back to Portland and get a lot more sleep than I did last year. I have a pretty flexible schedule right now. I work part time and supplement that income with occasional freelance work and house sitting. I am still struggling with sleep, but I rarely have to go more than a couple days in a row on very little sleep like I did as a student. As a result I am able to function without consuming as much caffeine (most of the time).
I'm not sure what time I fell asleep last night, but I suspect it was between 2 and 3. Today Robert got me up at 9. I had one cup of coffee in the morning. We went to a local park to do some rock climbing, but it's still too wet out. At least we got a short hike in. The weather was pretty nice today. It was sunny and in the 50s.
In the afternoon I had some yerba mate and then Robert and I did some yard work.
Around 11pm I started doing the P90X yoga video, but about a half hour in I got too tired to continue (I've been working out a lot the past few days).
Breakdown:
- up at 9 (about 6 hours of sleep)
- 1 cup of coffee, 1 cup of tea
- some exercise and some time out in the sun
- no alcohol
- to bed around 2
